AICTE Mitacs Research Internship: Applications Invited from Students for Opportunity to Work in Laboratories in Canada

Online applications for AICTE Mitacs Research Internship 2022 has begun, and interested students from India, Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States can apply for the same. The program is open to students pursuing their undergraduation or combined undergraduate and master’s program. Those selected will participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines, from science, engineering, and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences.

International students will be required to submit applications and select research projects from the online database before 22 September 2022. Mitacs will then conduct an eligibility review of student applications in October. Students pursuing their degrees from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI) can apply for the AICTE Mitacs Research Internship 2022.

Who can Apply for AICTE Mitacs Research Internship 2022?

The official Mitacs website says that students with the following eligibility criteria may apply for the AICTE Mitacs Research Internship 2022:

• Applicants should be a least 18 years old at the time of submitting applications.
• Students should be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate and master’s program at an eligible institution.
• Applicants should have one to three semesters remaining in their program as of Fall 2022.
• Students from AICTE should have at least 80 percent marks, and those from SICI should have at least 70 percent.

• Applicants would be required to apply to a minimum of three and a maximum of seven projects and ensure selections are from at least three different Canadian provinces

• Students should be fluent in oral and written language of the project, which could be English or French,’
• Those selected must be available to complete an internship lasting 12 consecutive weeks between 1 May and 31 October.
