AICTE and HCL Software Sign MoU to Offer Free Training to Engineering Students

AICTE and HCL Software aim at providing free training in DevOps, Test Automation, End Point Management, and Cyber Security to engineering students

AICTE and HCL Software, a division of HCL Technology have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 30 July 2020 for Project Sunshine. As part of the project, HCL will offer free training to BTech and MCA students from All India Council for Technical Education approved institutes in four streams namely DevOps, Test Automation, End Point Management, and Cyber Security.

Under this MoU, HCL Software will start the Sunshine program with limited colleges as decided by AICTE in Bengaluru and NCR on a pilot basis. “Such collaborations from the Industry will enhance Industry-Academia linkages. More such MoU's are expected to follow,” said Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE. Initially, HCL will train 40 students in each of the four streams.

Features of the AICTE and HCL Software Free Training Program

  • The program aims at evolving a model through which a pool oh highly capable talent can be enhanced as per the growth requirements in the technology space.
  • The program will be delivered by HCL to train entry-level engineers.
  • The training will be delivered through a combination of classroom and virtual sessions coupled with extensive hands-on exercises and assignments.
  • Training sessions, laboratory exercises and self-learning modules will be offered.
  • The duration of the program would be 60 hours, which will be rolled-out within 6 to 8 weeks.
  • The program is aimed at final year and pre-final years students of all branches of BTech and MCA.
