All Indian Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the availability of one lakh internships in the Oil and Gas Sector, for which applications have been invited from second and third-year engineering students. The internships were announced on 24 March through a virtual conference., which was presided by Anil Sahasrabudhe, chairman, Chandrasekhar Buddha, chief coordinating officer, MP Poonia, vice chairman, AICTE, Rameshwar M Paswan, CEO, Petroleumsoft, and N Rajesh Kumar, CEO, Energivo Oil and Gas among others.

Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe said at the event that the internship program offered by the council will empower and fine-tune the skills of job aspirants in the country. “Through this collaborative program, AICTE will offer internship opportunities to more than one lakh students and make them ready to join the national and international oil and gas industry,” he said. The internship will be offered by the council in collaboration with a consortium of six oil and gas companies namely Dasoff Petroleum (Abu Dhabi), Citax Energy (Dubai), Petroleumsoft (UK), Wesmarty Infotech, Energivo Oil & Gas, and Shay Innovative Solutions.

Who can Apply for AICTE Internships in Oil and Gas Sector?

The internship opportunity is available to second and third-year engineering students who are willing to learn and explore information security stream, have relevant skills and interests pertaining to the field and are available for a period of two months. The terms of engagement will be decided as per the company policy.
