AI has a finally found a way to trickle down to mainstream consumer adoption. But quirkily enough the outlet to do that has been your laundry. With Samsung’s latest announcement on AI-powered washing machine, the AI-craze has conveniently shifted down to consumer electronics.

Samsung’s AI-powered washing machine is a breakthrough innovation. It offers an intelligent laundry solution which is also personalized using machine learning. The solution has been customized for India with 2000 wash combinations and 2.8 million big data analysis points that works for different fabric types. It is controllable with a smartphone or a Samsung connected device.

The washing machine can also suggest a Laundry Planner that can help schedule an end time for the laundry. And it also suggests a Laundry Recipe with recommendations on wash cycle basis the color, fabric and soiling of the clothes. The Homecare Wizard alerts users about the potential problems and suggests troubleshooting.

The 21 models launched this week are AI-powered, so learns and suggests wash cycle too. With IoT it can be connected to smart devices including voice assistants like Alexa and Google Home.
