Aeris Communications announced its partnership with CTECH Energy Private Limited to provide lithium-ion solutions to various industry segments like UPS, ESS, OFF Grid Solar, smart city, Wi-Fi, Bank ATM, VSAT, and electric and smart mobility. Aeris IoT technology has transformed normal batteries into smart batteries. With Aeris Connected Battery Management Solution, it is now possible to track, trace and remotely manage batteries deployed onsite – at a mobile tower or in electric vehicles as a standalone asset.
Rajesh Srivastava, CEO, CTECH, said: “We onboarded Aeris as our innovation & IoT technology partner with the clear objective of gaining market differentiation in the already competitive battery market. With this partnership in place, we are not just selling batteries anymore; but a connected, future-proven battery management solution! The ability to provide battery analytics for performance service delivery enhancement has led to higher customer satisfaction from our EV customers. Analytics & alerts on battery discharging and potential theft makes our clients future proof their investments too!”
The solution provides vital information on battery diagnostics- SOC/ SOH, charging cycle, and immobilization of asset. It helps in predictive maintenance with regular feeds on charging status, estimates the life left in the batteries and can even predict how much longer the batteries will provide energy before they need recharging. With the help of Aeris, CTECH has successfully launched smart and connected batteries for Electric Vehicles(EV), specifically addressing the needs of the B2B segment for proper battery utilization, maintenance, safety , security and even theft prevention.
Aeris Connected Battery Management Solution anti-theft features for batteries include real-time, 24×7 tracking of the battery. In case of theft, instant immobilization of the battery can be done remotely by the owner themselves. For commercial vehicles, designated to make trips only in certain areas, such as food & grocery delivery, hyper local courier services;battery geo-fencing feature from Aeris adds another layer of protection.
Sameer Mahapatra, vice president of Sales, Aeris Communications, said: “The future belongs to EV, smart battery charging infrastructure and smart pricing! We see our partnership growing stronger with India’s EV market becoming Rs. 50,000 crore (US$ 7.09 billion) opportunity by 2025, with higher electrification of two- and three-wheelers.We have the capability to help our clients launch innovative business models based on smart pricing, battery swapping, and, even save on OpEx with smart charging, preventive care and predictive maintenance.”
