Accenture Ventures, a subsidiary of the IT conglomerate Accenture, has made a strategic investment in Writer. Writer is a tool that uses generative AI to assist businesses in creating and shaping content. According to the firm, Writer is intended to assist organisations in deploying AI-driven apps that may boost productivity and deliver substantial business impact across corporate departments such as support, operations, product, sales, HR, marketing, and others.

According to Baiju Shah, Chief Strategy Officer at Accenture Song, "Our continued investments in generative AI platforms will empower clients across all industries to transform how they create, personalise, and distribute content at pace, but also safely, securely, and with brand integrity." According to the company's statement, Accenture's marketing and communications specialists utilise Writer to develop written material, synthesise varied content, and align writing to voice and brand requirements. The IT behemoth began using Writer in 2021 to supplement its writing skills, and it is now growing Writer's generative AI capabilities internally while also preparing to provide them to clients as part of its current capabilities.

It is worth noting that large corporations worldwide are attempting to integrate AI into their workplaces to enhance productivity. According to Accenture's study, LLMs will affect up to 40% of all working hours, and 98% of global CEOs say AI foundation models will play a significant part in their organisations' strategy over the next three to five years. Aside from the current investment, Accenture announced a $3 billion investment in its Data and AI practise in June 2023 to assist customers across all sectors swiftly and safely progress and deploy AI to create better growth, efficiency, and resilience.
