Aarogya Setu Blueshield for Those Who Are Vaccinated: Here’s How to Get It

Aarogya Setu Blueshield feature has now been introduced and can be activated by citizens who are fully vaccinated. Those who have completed both doses of their vaccination can obtain the Aarogya Setu Blueshield in case they wish to travel to other cities. Those who are partially vaccinated can also update their status on the app, and they will get a grey shade icon instead of the blue one.

This feature is likely to become mandatory over the next few months for those seeking to travel to other cities. Those who display the Aarogya Setu Blueshield could be allowed to travel without having to provide any further health declarations or vaccination certificates. Citizens can update their status henceforth through their mobile number used for CoWIN registration.

How to get Aarogya Setu Blueshield for those Vaccinated with Both Doses?

Citizens who are fully or partially vaccinated may update the status on Aarogya Setu by entering their mobile number used for CoWIN registration, and entering the OTP. After that, the following steps will have to be taken:

• After 14 days of receiving the second dose, citizens will get a Blueshield on the home page of the app.
• All Aarogya Setu users will get the option to “Update the Vaccination Status “if they have not taken the revised self-assessment.
• Those who take the self-assessment, and have taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine will get the tab of “partially vaccination/vaccinated (unverified)“ on the home screen of Aarogya Setu.
• The unverified status can be changed to verified through the mobile number used for CoWIN registration.

• As per self-assessment, if a user has taken the first dose, then the Single Blue border will appear and the status will be “Partially Vaccinated (Unverified). In this case, Aarogya Setu Icon will be of Grey Shade. Upon verification, the “Unverified” text will be removed and the Grey Shade Icon will show the Aarogya Setu Colors.

• When, users become eligible for Dose 2, which is 4 weeks for COVAXIN and 12 weeks for COVISHIELD, the Vaccination Details screen will provide an option for users to verify the second dose.
• If users have already taken the second dose at the time of verification or when users take their second dose and update the same in Aarogya Setu, the screen will appear as “You Are Safe” in green.
• After 14 days of the second dose of the vaccine, complete Aarogya Setu Blueshield will appear and status will be as “You are Vaccinated”.
• Users will also be given an option to download certificates from the app.
