| The transition from a single operating system to multi-operating systems seems to have paid off for SGI. Compared to a 1999-00 growth rate of 15%, the company grew by 24% last year. In the server space, unlike other vendors who focussed on the financial segment, SGI did well in the telco, media and education and research segment. It also did better in its dealings state-owned entities, with the government and public sectors accounting for 55% of total revenues. |
