| These have been difficult times for Xansa India (erstwhile IIS Infotech), the fully-owned subsidiary of Xansa Systems Inc. In 1999-2000, revenues had dropped by close to 23% to Rs 123 crore. Though revenues picked up by almost 25 % to Rs 154 crore, the increase in gross profits was almost negligible and net profit actually fell by 35%. Part of this was due to severe margin pressure that saw operating margins at Xansa fall from nearly 15 to 7.75%. |
