Started in 1979 as an electronic equipment marketing company, Artek ventured into IT industry in 1984, with specialization in networking. Fiscal 2000-01 saw Artek close the year at Rs 34.1
crore. As a distributor, it has sold networking products to over 400 dealers/resellers and as a systems integrator, it has been undertaking network projects for LAN/WAN implementation. Artek has handled projects for
IAF, the Indian Army, Ordnance Factories and the government.
