This Chennai-based company’s key strength seems to revolve around a sense of employee
empowerment. Employees gave the company high scores on statements like “my opinion matters in the company” and “I have freedom to take decisions on my work”. Nearly 88% of employees felt strongly that the work they did was crucial for the company’s growth and they were also very satisfied with their peers and immediate managers. But at a macro level, there seemed to be a certain disconnect.
Employees gave relatively low scores on statements like “the company’s policies and procedure are open and transparent and create a positive work environment”, “we are immediately communicated of any major decisions taken or changes made”, and “the company responds immediately to any issue or problem I have”. Other crib areas–transparency of appraisals and length and quality of training. Another area of concern–some of the most stressed employees. Partly as a result of that, only 9% of its own employees voted for it as their dream company while 36% voted for Infosys and another 12% named HP.
