This new entrant to the Top 20 had among the lowest scores on its internal HR processes (#19), but fared comparatively better on the employee parameters (#12)–with relatively high scores on people and compensation packages. Oracle employees were very happy with their immediate bosses and the company’s leadership. However, composite satisfaction levels were low. This included a lack of excitement and pride with the work done. As a result, almost 40% of Oracle employees said they would leave if a reputed company offered them a 20% salary hike. Interestingly, for a tech pioneer, only about 60% of its employees were seriously excited by the technology they were working on (#18), and over half of them said they weren’t really encouraged to take risks at work. Finally, just about 30% of Oracle’s own employees named it as their dream company. Another 20% named Infosys, while 7% named IBM.
