Virtusa Organizes Neuralhack and Headstart in Chennai

Virtusa has organized ‘NueralHack – The National Level Hackathon on IoT and Machine Learning’ and the third edition of Engineering Academia Connect program, ‘Headstart 2017’ in Chennai.

The main objective of the event was to facilitate the Hackathon winners and academic officers from diverse engineering colleges across India. The winners of the Hackathon were given a dream package of 5LPA and a chance to work with Virtusa corp. at the beginning of their careers. During the event, Virtusa announced that they have set up 11 Centres of Excellence (COEs) across the country in partnership with some of the best technical institutes to create industry ready talent. This unique initiative aims to skill students in technologies like Data Science, Cloud, CRM at the college level thus making them industry ready.

Speaking at the event, Sreekanth Lapala, Global Delivery Head, Virtusa Corp. said “I am excited to be a part of this event and would like to congratulate the winners of the Hackathon and all the placement officers who made this event a success. We at Virtusa are always scouting for fresh talent with a lot of zeal and know-how. Times are changing and so is technology, students with a knack to understand and learn new technologies are given preference in organizations today. We are providing an extensive platform to all the students and colleges to showcase their immeasurable talent and gain advantage from it.”
