Students of ITM Kharghar Distributed Recycled Notebooks amongst Young Girls

The Eco Club of ITM Kharghar celebrated International Women’s Day in a eco-friendly way. The students of Eco Club carried out a newspaper collection drive with the objective of recycling the paper in association with I Dream About Foundation and converting them into notebooks. ITM Kharghar students and faculties distributed the notebooks and other stationery amongst the young girls of Seal Ashram. This celebration took place at ITM Kharghar’s auditorium on 8th March, 2016.

Eco Club of ITM Kharghar is a students’ society working towards the awareness, sensitization and the preservation of environment and environmental issues. The institute conducted this drive with the objective of spreading the importance of girl child education and motivating them to seek education.

The distribution process was followed by stunning performances by the young girls from Seal Ashram. The Auditorium was full of energy and enthusiasm. The young girls showcased their talent and proved to be stars of the event. Each act performed by these girls blew the mind of the audiences. A loud audience was witnessed and lot of cheers was spread when the act was being showcased. Dr C.S. Adhikari, Dean, Dr. Sarit Prava Das, Associate Dean of ITM Business School Kharghar along with all faculties, presented the gifts to the young girls from Seal Ashram.

Dr. Adhikari said, “Happy Women’s Day! You deserve to be happy today so enjoy your day to the fullest. He acknowledged the hard work put in by the students of ITM Kharghar and I Dream About Foundation.

While addressing the audience Prof Roopam, coordinator of Eco Club said, “I personally believe that if everyone could contribute a little, it would make a great difference to the society we live in. As a part of this institute we believe it is our duty to make the lives of the underprivileged better.”

“The Eco club will keep contributing to society in small ways by organising Its intra-college and inter-college activities and competitions that aim to bring environmental issues in the forefront”. Said Prof. Prachi Gupta HOD Marketing and Head of Eco Club, ITM Business School Kharghar.
