“India currently ranks 108th out of 145 countries in the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Index 2015. Back-to-Work aims to reintegrate an untapped pool of high-potential female professionals back into corporate life. This initiative is targeted at eliminating the gender disparity in the country.” said Vlasta Dusil, Vice President, Human Resources, SAP India. “In the era of digitalization, diversity and inclusion are imperative to innovate for tomorrow.” she added.

SAP is looking to attract women from a wide range of professional backgrounds and successful candidates will be assigned to projects that complement their skills and experience. These candidates should have at least three years of continuous work experience before leaving the workforce for a minimum of two years.

Each assignment will last for a maximum of six months and work will take place onsite or virtually depending on the nature of the project. SAP will provide participants with competitive remuneration, flexible work arrangements when possible and the necessary support they need to integrate into the workplace. In addition to networking opportunities, a project mentor will be on hand to guide participants through the process. There is the potential for full-time employment subject to business opportunities at the end of the 6 months period.

SAP believes that a diverse and inclusive workforce leads the way for tomorrow’s innovation, encourages employee engagement and supports business growth. Gender diversity also helps drive the digital economy and SAP is proud of the unique contribution of every individual towards the organization’s success. SAP is committed to be an employer of choice and in helping employees learn, grow and develop to become future leaders.
