Salesforce awards NIET, Gr. Noida for Outstanding Contribution in New India Student Championship

Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida receives an award for "Outstanding Contributor in New India Student Championship" by Salesforce during the Salesforce Academic Summit on May 8, 2018. The event was held by ICT Academy in February 2018. The award was given by Mr. Sunil Jose, Senior Area President, Salesforce; Mr. Sandeep Bhanot, Senior Vice President, Salesforce and Mr. M Shivkumar CEO ICT gives award. This championship was first of its kind initiative which is the largest “Learnathon” of India, organized by ICT Academy and powered by Salesforce.

This Championship brought together 10,966 students from 118 colleges across India, for 24-hours of self-learning initiative on preparing themselves for the fourth generation industrial revolution. The initiative aimed to develop a self learning culture amongst the students by making them learn and complete 525,000+ learning modules and earn digital badges as credentials during these 24 hours.

NIET partnered with ICT Academy, and organized this unique initiative with an objective to inculcate the habit of self-learning among the youth in India, thereby adding vigor to the SKILL INDIA mission, supported by the outcome of the DIGITAL INDIA Vision of the Government of India. A total of 103 students of NIET participated in the event and showcased outstanding performance.
