According to Dr Rajesh Modi, chief surgeon at the conference “Using large scale 3D screens for live education is a wonderfully different experience altogether. The live screening today enabled surgeons to visually experience the minute details that may go amiss in traditional live-surgery workshops. At Saket City Hospital It is part of our endeavour to provide the best in medical and surgical care in a welcoming and professional environment, while offering the latest in medical technology. ”

Dr Madhu Goel senior consultant Saket City Hospital emphasised that "From textbooks and small group teaching, to journals and conferences, surgical education takes place in several ways. However, live surgeries are one of the most educative method that allow clinicians to view a surgery conducted by world-renowned surgeons".

With the phenomenal advances made in audio-visual technologies and high-speed telecommunication systems, live surgeries are slowly becoming a popular technique to showcase the surgical complexities and technological nuances on a larger platform.

Laparoscopic surgery has become a popular technique in the past few years due to the numerous advantages associated with it. In the past 25 years, the technique has reduced a patient's stay at the hospital, lessened post op discomfort leading to early post op recovery and giving better results cosmetically.
