The Junior Leadership program provides promising young leaders with an immersive learning opportunity to enhance their digital skills and community awareness. Utilizing a tailored version of Infosys Springboard, the company's digital learning and collaboration platform, participants will develop essential skills such as inclusion, leadership, technology, and design thinking. Selected from a pool of over 700 competitive and recreational players under the age of 18 from metropolitan and regional Victoria, participants will spend a day at the Infosys Living Lab in Melbourne. Here, they will engage in hands-on learning experiences exploring the impact of technologies like the Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence, and Virtual Reality on sports, communities, and the world.

Additionally, the program will involve young individuals in volunteering and community leadership activities by assisting participants in executing a table tennis project. This collaboration will include working with their table tennis club, coach, or community organization.

The program aims to enhance the skills of participants individually while also fostering growth and development within Table Tennis Victoria. This includes activities such as volunteer recruitment, increasing participation among females and juniors, refining tournament structures, and establishing pathways for performance improvement. Furthermore, Table Tennis Victoria plans to use this program as a basis for forming a junior advisory committee, aligning with child safety standards and empowering young individuals. The inaugural cohort of junior leaders is set to take part in the program in April 2024.
