IIIT-D Facilitates a Smooth Transition of Information Age into Intelligent Age with a Unique Summer School on AI

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) announces its summer school on Artificial Intelligence for July-August 2018 which will focus on the fundamentals and advances in Artificial Intelligence​ ​and Machine Learning, including Deep Learning to make the talent ready for a disruptive future.With this unprecedented initiative, the institute is not only assuring a sanguine future for job seekers and executives but simultaneously, this programme will also help the industries to meet their future goals with smart and well-equipped talent. The Summer School is open for all; from students andfaculties to government officials and industry professionals who are looking for an opportunity to hone their skills.

The Summer School is also a golden opportunity for students and professionals interested in learning algorithms of ML and AI. The Summer School curriculum also focuses on three application domains: Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Autonomous Driving/Robotics. Strategically, the institute has scheduled the Summer School on the weekends of July-August for the convenience of both students and working professionals;they can easily attend the classes without making any change in their routine activities. Besides theory and practical exposure, participants will also get to interact with several skilled and seasoned professionals. Along with this, on successful completion of the programme, enrollees will be awarded a certificate from the Infosys Center for Artificial Intelligence at IIIT-D.

On the introduction of Summer School on Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Mayank Vatsa, Head of the Infosys Center for Artificial Intelligence at IIIT-Delhi said,“It is the first time that the institute has come up with such an initiative. But with increasing focus on research and applications of AI in the industry, the existence of such schooling is becoming a necessity to preparethe youth for the virtual age ahead and make them adaptive to the competition at the global stage.”
