Google’s Pixel versus iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7

Google’s first self designed phones – Pixel and Pixel XL have been launched. With its own innovative android version and built in Google assistant, the Pixel phones are believed to give its competitors a good run for their money. The phones are similar to each other in account of software and hardware specs, but slightly different in case of their size and battery life. Google seems to have defeated iPhone’s camera too with a strong 89 DX OMark mobile score. iPhone’s score is 86.

Sundar Pichai, Chief Executive Officer, Google Inc. shared his thoughts about the Google Assistant with his tweet, “We are excited about building a personal Google for everyone, everywhere”.

Design

The Pixel phones will come in two sizes i.e. 5” and 5.5”, much like the iPhone. The aluminum bodies with round corners are built by HTC. The combination of half glass and half metal body is an attractive concept. Pixel’s uni-body terminates the need of removing battery, giving the phone a sleek outlook with longer battery lifespan. It also comprises similar body design and rear-mounted finger print scanner. Google Pixel’s physical features are mostly identical to iPhone 7 and make little difference.

Camera

Both Pixel phones posses an 8 mp front shooter for selfies and a 12.3 mp rear camera with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels which will provide high level of details. The camera has scored the highest DX OMark mobile rating of 89.

Battery

A 3450 mAh battery which Google promises will charge the phone for up to 7 hours in only 15 minutes is something the customers crave for.
