Capgemini Partners Advantage Consulting
Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology, and outsourcing services, has
announced an asset purchase agreement with Advantage Consulting Group, a
specialist in data conversion for the insurance industry. Capgemini will now be
able to offer financial services clients a more robust suite of flexible,
low-risk, and cost-effective conversion solutions for consolidating and
implementing new information technology (IT) systems.
Citrix Inks Agreement with Akamai
Citrix Systems has inked an agreement with Akamai Technologies, the leader
in powering rich media, dynamic transactions, and enterprise applications
online, to enhance Web application delivery offerings for enterprise customers
worldwide. The twp companies will leverage Citrixs premise-based NetScaler
product line and Akamais cloud-based Web Application Accelerator service to
bring end-to-end Web application delivery to both Internet and enterprise
customers worldwide.
Siemens PLM Allies with Satyam
Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of Siemens Industry Automation
Division, and Satyam Computer Services have announced a global consulting and
systems integrator alliance. The alliance aims at providing optimized PLM
software and services to help customers enhance efficiency and top-line growth.
It will enable clients to benefit from Satyams global domain expertise,
combined with Siemens PLM Softwares industry-leading PLM technology.
Quest Joins Sage as Development Partner
Quest Software has signed an agreement to become an endorsed development
partner in Sage Softwares Business Management Division (BMD). According to the
agreement, Sage Software will market Quests SQL Server Management solutions
with its Sage MAS 500 and Sage MAS 200 ERP solutions. With the Endorsed
Development Partner designation, Sage recognizes Quest Software as a preferred
systems management software solution for SQL Server.
Misys in Agreement with IBM
Misys has announced an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with IBM,
under which Misys will embed IBM DB2 data server, IBM Global Naming Recognition
(GNR), and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) software in a selection of its
banking solutions. The collaboration will help banks speed up implementations
while reducing complexities. Under the agreement, Misys will invest resources to
deliver versions of Misys Trade Portal, Misys Trade Innovation, Misys Message
Manager, and Misys BankFusion Universal Banking.
Airtel Ties Up with Firstsource
BPO services provider Firstsource Solutions and Bharti Airtel have signed a
three-year outsourcing agreement. As part of the tie-up, Firstsource will
provide a suite of for BPO services covering both voice and backoffice in areas
like customer accounting, VAS provisioning, fraud and credit monitoring,
customer service, collections, customer retention, and the like from its centers
in Chennai and Mumbai.
Netmagic Partners HP
Managed IT services provider Netmagic Solutions has announced a partnership
with HP to jointly address the growing demand for data center and managed
services among mid-market customers in India. Netmagic and HP will jointly
market and sell the hardware and hosting services focusing initially on the
emerging segments including retail, healthcare, utility, education, and
manufacturing.
Satyam Partners GE
Satyam Computer Services and GE Healthcare have announced a comprehensive
agreement to support customers deploying healthcare IT solutions based on GE
Centricity Enterprise software. The companies will join forces to plan, design,
and implement infrastructures for global healthcare providers of all sizes; from
the smallest polyclinics to the largest hospitals.
Nokia,WWF to Save Tigers
Nokia has announced its partnership with WWF-India for WWF-Indias Tiger
conservation program. Nokia and WWF-India will work toward providing education
to villagers for sustainable development, increasing awareness on tiger
conservation, and identifying alternative livelihood programs for villagers
around National Protected Areas such as the Ranthambore National Park.
Ctrl S for IBM Data Centers
Data center company Ctrl S Data Centers has signed a memorandum of
understanding with IBM for the marketing of tier-4 data centers to customers,
channels, and franchisees across India. The MoU with IBM will give Ctrl S a
national footprint, enabling the company to provide state-of-the-art data center
services to a wider customer base.

Ctrl S.
Genovate is Novells Platinum Partner
High-end technology company Genovate has announced that it has become
Novells first platinum partner in India. Genovate provides business
applications, software solutions and consulting in the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the agreement, Genovate will offer Novell commercial training, the most
technical instruction program offered by Novell. The comprehensive courseware
addresses a wide range of advanced topics including support issues, in-depth
architectural reviews and enterprise solutions.
Targus in Tie-up with Aruba
Systems and network integrator Targus Technologies has tied up with Aruba
Networks to become the largest system integrator for the latters solutions in
India. Targus Technologies achieved a turnover of Rs 120 crore and its headcount
touched 250-plus in 2007-08. The company is looking to touch a turnover of Rs
200 crore in the current financial year and to increase the headcount to 400.
McAfee to Aid NHS in Data Protection
McAfee has announced that National Health Service Connecting for Health (NHS
CFH) has selected its solutions to provide encryption and port control to
protect confidential data on NHS computers and devices. McAfee Data Protection
will provide 700,000 licenses for device encryption, port control, secure
content encryption, and mobile encryption to NHS organizations and related
bodies across England. Data will be protected on devices like PCs, laptops, PDAs
and smartphones, content on hard drives and removable media and computer ports.
Sierra, Callidus Partners for Master Services
Sierra Atlantic, a provider of offshoring enterprise applications and
outsourced product development, has closed an agreement with Callidus Software,
a provider in sales performance management (SPM). The master services agreement
will cover areas such as professional services, development, and support. Under
the agreement, Sierra Atlantic will provide a range of operations for Callidus
Softwares fast-growing on-demand business, including engineering capabilities
and 24/7 technical services. Callidus Software will train specialists at Sierra
Atlantics delivery center in Hyderabad to implement a broad range of integrated
SaaS product development processes and technology solutions.
Yahoo, WPP Set Off Multi-year Partnership
Yahoo and WPPs GroupM, 24/7 Real Media and WPP Digital, have announced a
partnership to enable WPP agencies to buy digital display advertising across the
Internet more efficiently than ever before. The partnership will initially
involve collaboration between Yahoo and WPPs GroupM and 24/7 Real Media. WPP
agencies, working through 24/7 Real Media, will develop a proprietary media
trading platform that connects to Yahoos Right Media Exchange. WPP agencies
will work with 24/7 Real Media to integrate their proprietary targeting
capabilities into the platform and develop custom trading strategies, which can
be seamlessly executed via the Right Media Exchange on a highly targeted and
cost-effective basis.
PSCB, 19 Co-operative Banks Opt for FLEXCUBE
Oracle and i-flex solutions have announced that Punjab State Co-operative
Bank (PSCB) and nineteen district central co-operative banks will deploy
FLEXCUBE. FLEXCUBE, powered by Oracle Database and Oracle Real Application
Clusters, will enhance the efficiency of Punjab State Co-operative Bank, which
has 800 branches across Punjab. Flexcel International, a subsidiary of i-flex
solutions, will deploy, host and manage the core banking solution. PSCB has
already built a data center to manage the 800 plus branch roll out.
ESS Wins ERP Contract in Ghana
Eastern Software System (ESS) has won a contract from Ghana Investment
Promotion Center (GIPC) to implement ebizframe, its flagship ERP product. The
implementation will be driven toward automating Sales, Procurement, Inventory,
Finance, Assets and HR-Payroll functions for GIPC. GIPC, a Ghana government
agency, encourages, promotes, and facilitates investments across all sectors of
the Ghana economy. The contract is the first government order of ESS in Western
Africa.
Savvion Signs Up 35 Licensing Deals
Savvion, the software industrys leading business process management (BPM)
company, has signed up thirty-five licensing deals with new and existing
customers. Record license revenue growth and profitability for the first quarter
of 2008 drove several executive appointments and further innovations in BPM and
Business Solutions. Higher than expected revenue growth in the first quarter of
2008 mirrored the steady climb seen in the fourth quarter of 2007, helping
Savvion to beat planned operating profits in each quarter. Savvion expanded its
large installed base both nationally and internationally in the last two
quarters by signing over thirty-five license deals with new and existing

QUEST Becomes SAGEs Partner

Perot Systems, Nexus Sign Agreement
Perot Systems and Nexus Telecom have announced at the TMF Management World
2008 conference in Nice, France, the signing of a teaming agreement focused on
delivering customer-focused solutions for the telecom market space. Through the
alliance, Perot Systems and Nexus Telecom will together propose solutions for
billing mediation, revenue assurance, near real-time roaming data exchange
solutions to telecommunication service providers around the world. The alliance
allows Nexus Telecom to create a stronger value proposition for customers
through use of Perot Systems project management, solution design and systems
integration expertise and Nexus core business software including NexusMETER, an
NGN network performance management solution, NexusNETVIEW, a signalling
surveillance system and NexusTRACE for protocol analysis.
D-Link to Supply Wi-Fi Equipment to Tata
D-Link India, Indias premier networking company, has announced that Tata
Communications has selected D-Link India as its supplier for providing wireless
access points and antennas for deployment of Wi-Fi hotspots across the country.
To wirelessly enable these hotspots, Tata Communications has deployed D-Link
Access Points; DWL-3200AP, DWL-2100AP & Wireless Antennas; ANT-24-0800,
ANT-24-0801. Tata Communications has been leading the growth of the Wi-Fi
industry in India and today has the largest Wi-Fi deployment among domestic ISPs
with over 500 hotspots.
