Clarification

Clarification

Software Technology Group

  • As per the results announced by STG and the latest data, the

company’s revenue for 2000-01 stand at Rs 55.17 crore, not Rs

40.39 crore, as mentioned in the DQ Top 20 Volume I. Accordingly,

with a revenue per center share of Rs 19.29 crore, the company would

rank No 9 amongst the Top 10 list in the training and education

segment. Similarly, STG’s revenue per course would change from Rs

184 crore (as mentioned) to Rs 250.7 crore.

SQL Star International

  • In fiscal 2000-01, the company’s education division showed

revenues of Rs.15.52 crore from 10 owned centers. After this period,

in the current fiscal, two centers have been merged. A few partner

centers also started operations in fiscal 2000-01, with a sign-up

fee of Rs 48 lakh. SQL Star does not take partners’ total revenues

into consideration and only royalty/sign-up charges are considered.

Thus, revenue per center during the above period was Rs 1.55 crore

(against Rs.74.08 lakh mentioned in DQ Top 20 Vol 1, and total

revenues were Rs 16 crore (against Rs 13.33 crore).

Tata Group

  • The strip header on Page 101 of DQ Top 20 Vol I should have read

"Of 80 companies in seven sectors, infotech makes up a

portfolio of four". Inadvertently, the word "Infosys"

    was carried instead of "infotech".

Transys Technologies

  • Chennai-based Transys Technologies recorded revenues Rs 51.5 crore

for 2000-2001. Its revenues in the previous year, however, were Rs

42.2 crore, and not Rs 56 crore, as mentioned in DQ Top 20 Vol II.

The figure of Rs 42.2 crore for previous year’s revenues gives the

company a growth rate of 22%, and not a negative 8%, as reported.

The company’s ranking of #127, however, remains unchanged.
