| Pune-based software developer and engineering consultancy services firm Persistent Systems became the first Asian company to receive an investment from the Intel 64 Fund in May this year. Its revenues rose 87% from Rs 16 crore in 1999-00 to Rs 29 crore in 2000-01, with 99.8% coming from exports, 97% of this being offshore development. It also doubled its net profit from Rs 6 crore to Rs 12 crore. The company is engaged in hi-tech datawarehousing and e-business. |
